Q: How do I know if I have hearing loss?

Unless you have suffered some sort of trauma,  hearing loss takes place over an extended amount of time, making it difficult to notice. If people complain about the high volume of your television or music, you ask people to repeat themselves, or miss quiet parts of conversations, there is a possibility that you may have hearing loss.

Q: What happens during a hearing evaluation?

 You will be asked questions about your hearing history. Then, your ears will be examined. After the physical exam, you will be given an evaluation in a soundproof environment. If the tests signify a hearing loss,  then the audiologist will discuss your options.

Q: Are hearing aids custom fit for my ears?

 If it is determined that a hearing aid will benefit you, you will be given several options to fit your lifestyle and budget. After you have decided on which hearing aid you want, impressions will be taken of your ears to custom-fit the device.

Q: Are digital hearing aids better than analog?

Digital sound is much clearer than analog. They tend to have more options which make them more flexible so they can be finely tuned to the users’ needs.
